The average lifetime of a REX planer is more than 15 years. There are machines which have been operating trouble-free for over 30 years and are still in use. All planers are fundamentally extensible and can always be adapted to current needs.

The SUPERMASTER, BIGMASTER and TIMBERMASTER series as well as our wide planer are characterised by advanced technology, excellent feed speeds and large working widths. 80 percent of the product parts are made in-house. This means we are able to examine all the parts used carefully and eliminate any deviations in quality in the development phase.

Almost all machine components are manufactured using computer controlled lathes and milling machines operated by qualified staff with many years of experience. This results in high-precision woodworking machines, which virtually have no tolerances. In addition, individual customer requirements can be implemented quickly and flexibly.

Low downtime due to intelligent tool change

The planer tool change time on REX machines is kept to a minimum, so that hardly any downtime arises. Thus, the planer heads on the BIGMASTER and TIMBERMASTER can be replaced quickly and easily with the intelligent automatic tool changer. The change shaft on the SUPERMASTER makes the process even faster.

Uncompromising in terms of reliability and sustainability

All REX machines comply with the latest Machinery Directive. In addition, our planer is equipped with a separate safety system, which is independent from the machine controller. 

Standard implementation of Infeed Technology (energy recovery) by Siemens has significantly reduced the power consumption of REX machines. Accordingly, all equipment has the highest energy efficiency class IE3 (Premium Efficiency).
