A special feature of REX planer machines is the use of vertical floating shafts. The so-called PSV system is included as a standard in all woodworking machines of REX and offers many advantages. The work piece is centred pneumatically, and the floating vertical shafts follow the curvature of the work piece within a range of 30 mm, wherein the set width is maintained. The result is a completely smooth planed work piece with minimal waste. If the REX-PSV system is not needed, it can be easily switched to normal operation with a lever.
